The moment we were all waiting for, though, was to find out who the flag-bearer, at the games, would be....of course it was Marie Bochet!

115 imagesBrrrrrr, it was very cold at the opening ceremony of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympic Games, but what a warm welcome we received from our Korean hosts! A spectacular light show, with traditional Korean cultural dance and of course the athlete's parade and lighting of the Paralympic Flame and fireworks (which I could only just about see from my photo-position!) Let the games begin!

73 imagesRain in the mountains called a halt to competition in the Alpine and Nordic centres. So I hitched a ride down to Gangueng on the coast and covered the KOR v CAN Para Sledge Hockey match and some of the Wheelchair Curling at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympic Games.

And once again Marie dominated the discipline taking home Gold!!

32 imagesBeing the last race of the Alpine program the medal ceremony was held at the foot of the pistes in the Alpine Centre. For me this was one of the best podium's I shot of the entire games - I'll let the photos explain that one to you! Marie's fourth Gold medal of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Paralympic Games was something rather special!!

110 imagesA beautiful light show and concert with traditional music and dance and, of course fireworks! Of course there was some K-Pop and the presentation of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games as well as the passing over of the Paralympic Flag to the Organising Committee of Beijing 2018. A great end to the best Winter Paralympic Games so far!
