91 imagesThe Team Event was a test of a format of racing new to Para Alpine Skiing; the hope being to include it in a future Winter Paralympic Games. It's not the first time a Team Event has been trialled as there was on raced on a banked slalom course in La Molina back in 2013. The big difference, here, was that the skiers would, after qualifications, go head to head on parallel slalom courses (with Super G / Giant Slalom gates). The race was held on a floodlit course which finished 'in town' at the doors of the Hotel Tremplin. It pulled quite a crowd of spectators who supported, noisily, the ski-racers as they battled it out on the piste. Even though it was a TEST event the competitive spirit was very much alive and the racing was hotly contested.
