The EDF ADN Tour is a series of handisport / disability sports adventure races held all over France. This stage of the tour took them to Le Morvan national park in the Bourgogne in the East of France. Here participants took part in orienteering, hiking, canoeing, quadrix all terrain electric wheelchair driving, archery, frisbee golf, and the big finale on the second day; white water rafting!

165 imagesThis was the 'big day' - white water rafting! It wasn't going to be a straight forward descent either. On the first run it was discovered that trees had fallen across the river and everyone (five inflatable rafts at a time) would have to get out of the water and portage their boats through thick undergrowth to over come the obstacle. With some participants being wheelchair users teamwork was essential to helping them in and out of the boats as well as negotiating the fallen trees and undergrowth. Whilst not an intentional nor idyllic situation they will be talking about this epic descent for years to come!
