The EDF ADN Ré Tour is one stage of a whole series of exciting and fun adventure races for people with physical or mental impairments . Each stage takes participants to different parts of France where they cycle from one sporting challenge to another. Not only do they get to enjoy an extended bicycle tour of where they are, but they also take part in a variety of sporting challenges. This time, on the Ile de Ré in the Charente Maritime, the challenges were climbing, pétanque, sailing, sarbacane, molki, and orienteering.

208 imagesStunning azure skies and unbroken sunshine set the scene for the first day of the EDF ADN Ré Tour. Participants and their entourage set out on numerous different courses, by bicycle, to then be challenged by games of pétanque, scaling a climbing wall, and scoring the maximum of points playing Molki before setting off, once more, to race back to the finish line in Couarde.

163 imagesThe second day of the EDF ADN Ré Tour took participants, once again on their bicycles, to a Base Nautique on the North coast of the island, where they would face a sailing challenge, sarbacane and orienteering before cycling, once again, back to Couarde and the finish line and the end of the adventure race. Prizes were awarded to the best teams from over the weekend.
