Rowing was held at the Lagoa Stadium away from the Olympic Park. Tennis was held in the Olympic Park itself. With the 'interesting' media transport getting to the rowing in time for the start, from the Olympic Stadium, was challenging and getting back was no easier! The weather wasn't kind to us on the lake but we soon dried out back at the Olympic Park in time for the tennis.

34 imagesI arrived at the Lagoa Stadium with just minutes to spare. The media boat had already left for the starting pontoon; which is where I needed to be for the heats. Thankfully the photo-manager was able to arrange a boat to take me out there. As we made our way very slowly and gently (so as not to make waves) I was coaxed into practicing my Portuguese by my companions! We arrived on the pontoon with minutes to spare before Stephane and Perle started their race! -
116 imagesIn complete contrast to the rowing lake the Olympic Park was hot and dry! After a quick lunch I made my way to the tennis courts and got ready to spend the remainder of my day court-side. My afternoon started with Frederic Cataneo (who happens to live just down the road from me!) followed up by a ladies doubles match with Charlotte Famin and Emanuelle Morch. The ladies doubles match was epic!
