I arrived at the Lagoa Stadium with just minutes to spare. The media boat had already left for the starting pontoon; which is where I needed to be for the heats. Thankfully the photo-manager was able to arrange a boat to take me out there. As we made our way very slowly and gently (so as not to make waves) I was coaxed into practicing my Portuguese by my companions! We arrived on the pontoon with minutes to spare before Stephane and Perle started their race!
